You know y'all're from California when you lot're already complaining about the atmospheric condition after the kickoff rains of the flavor. You see, I'yard a certified weather wimp, and I was over the moon this morning when I looked out the windows and saw blue skies.

Tabs was even happier than I was because it meant he'd be able to go exterior again subsequently being cooped up all weekend long, and the first matter we did was go for a nice, long walk.

While he mouth mowed his favorite patch of grass, I gazed up at the sky and thought, "bluish…" I know! — I'll do a bluish eye look with maybe a dash of regal to celebrate the solar day.

Right away I knew I wanted to use the Bobbi Chocolate-brown Crystal Eye Palette from the Vacation 2010 Collection.

The Bobbi Brown Crystal Heart Palette

She's the party girl of the release and the brightest of BB's holiday eye sets, with four fun, shimmery powder shadows in purple, lilac, fair and teal.

Since I'd already be wearing the palette, I figured I'd go all the way (all the manner across the sky) with Bobbi, so I also used her products (a mix from fall and holiday) for my cheeks and lips.

That'due south the Crystal Middle Palette and Bobbi'due south Kohl Center Liner in Blackness from the Blackness Velvet collection on my eyes, Glitter Lip Gloss in Aureate Topaz atop Shimmer Lip Gloss in Paisley Rose (both from the Modern Archetype Lip & Eye Palette) on my lips, and Pot Rouge in Baby Pink from Bobbi's Dazzler Rules Palette on my cheeks.

I used most three layers for the products in the palette, which is why they turned out adequately bright. For a quieter version of the look, you could do something like a single wash of color on the lid, perhaps with a fluffy domed eye shadow brush like the MAC 217, and and so line your lash and water lines with a black center pencil.

Too, I must say — I really, Really dig the Pot Rouge in Baby Pinkish from the Dazzler Rules Palette. Talk about pigment! A little goes a long mode, and information technology's extremely flexible (trèsouthward piece of cake to blend), working on either blank skin or atop foundations and powders. No 1 should put this babe in a corner because, like Jennifer Grey, she'south a star.

A note well-nigh the glosses from the Modernistic Archetype Lip & Heart palette: I like how they look in pictures, but they could stand up to be more than hydrating. After an hour wearing them my lips start to feel dry and uncomfortable.

I'm pretty happy with the overall look, but the next time I do it I think I'll skip the color on the lower lash line and brand the whole effect a little less BAM! Possibly like this information technology'd work for pictures and parties, but this isn't exactly a "Honey, I'm running to Target" expect, LOL!

How practise you feel nigh bright bluish centre shadows? Do/would y'all wear them in daytime or more so at night?
